How to do the Tidy-Hi

Step 1: The Wave
Begin by raising your hand up and doing a regular ‘Hello’ wave to catch the person’s attention.

Step 2: The Shaka
Transition from your wave to make the cool Shaka sign.
Not sure how? Extend your thumb and pinkie finger out while keeping the other fingers curled.

Step 3: Speak Up
As you’re doing the Shaka sign, smile big and say out loud, “Thank you, Litter Buddy!” to show appreciation for their awesome act of keeping our world clean.

WHY THE TIDY-HI IS IMPORTANT
Our mission is to spread smiles and gratitude, one Tidy-Hi at a time. This simple yet impactful gesture transcends age, allowing everyone, from the littlest Litter Buddy to adults of any age, to feel appreciated for their efforts in keeping our public spaces pristine.
Keep an eye out on the back window and bumpers of cars, spot the Litter Buddy Bumper Buddies stickers and you’ll know they are people who pick up litter just like you.
